John McNellis

As Chief Operating Officer of Remarketing+, John McNellis utilizes his vast automotive industry experience to champion innovation and steer the company toward strategic achievements, underscoring his influence on enhancing operations and pursuing growth throughout his career.

 

John began his automotive journey at Ed’s Auto Plaza, a GM Franchise in Butte, Montana. There, he rose through the ranks to become the Used Car Sales Manager. In his early roles, he managed the rental department and excelled as a Retail Car Sales Representative, laying the groundwork for his expertise in automotive sales and operations. 

 

In 1998, John joined The Hertz Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona. During his 20-year tenure at Hertz, he advanced in the company to become Senior Director of Remarketing Operations. John was instrumental in creating and expanding a new business-to-business vehicle sales platform in the U.S., Canada, and Brazil, leading to annual sales exceeding $45 million. He led the fleet remarketing supply chain operations and integrated innovative IT solutions that propelled the company to remarkable growth.

 

Following his tenure at Hertz, John served as General Manager at Vitu, where he was instrumental in innovating and launching VITU Driver, a new line of business providing vehicle registration renewal solutions. 

 

In 2020, John transitioned to Flex Fleet Rental, where, as Vice President of Remarketing and later as Chief Operating Officer, he continued to leverage his expertise in product strategy. There, he played a key role in enhancing the company's service offerings, directly contributing to its growth, and reinforcing its position in the competitive automotive space.
