Pre-Stocking:

Allows user to pre-stock new vehicles into the Advent on-order/in-transit file. All pre-stocking occurs prior to the vehicles arrival at the dealership.

Automated Stocking Option:

Once the vehicle has been driven off the transport and inspected all you need to do to stock-in the vehicle is assign a stock number. When this happens a set of bar codes are printed. These can be attached to the vehicle, keys and deal jacket.

Automated Vehicle Inventory:

After pre-stocking new vehicles, and applying bar code labels to all new and used vehicles, the user does a physical inventory with a hand-held scanner. The scanner instantly reads and records the bar codes. After completing the physical inventory, the scanned information is easily uploaded into the Advent System and reconciled with either ADP or R&R Accounting files.

Vehicle Inventory Control:

Routine new vehicle inventory checks are prepared in advance of the bank floor check. With the Advent Vehicle Bar Code application, dealer knows whether his sales and accounting files are accurate. Management is better informed therefore no surprises regarding lost or miss placed inventory.

Hand Held Scanner:

A digital screen display shows you lot location and the stock number as each vehicle is scanned. The keypad allows the user to immediately change or revise data, such as the lot number.

Scanner Cradle:

Provides Interface to the Advent Vehicle inventory file. The scanned information uploads easily after putting the scanner in the cradle. Simply start the process with a few keystrokes. User can run upload from a single port.

Desktop Label Printing:

Bar code labels are printed after new and used vehicles arrive at the dealership. One large, polyester label is printed along with 4 small labels which are applied to the vehicle window, keys, and deal jacket if desired.

Scanned vs. Keyed Information:

The system helps the user determine whether a vehicle was automatically scanned or manually entered into the bar coding scanner during physical inventory. User maintains dealership security on the sales lot, and can easily identify which vehicles, if any, need bar code stocking labels or replacement labels.

Full Reporting Capabilities:

Provides complete reports on current inventory and missing vehicles. User can sort information by different criteria.
  • Scan Exception Report identifies discrepancies in vehicles scanned or not scanned.
  • Scan Report by Time Stamp shows the last the vehicle scanned.
  • Scan Report by Location shows where the vehicle was the last time it scanned.
  • Scan Report by Stock Number will separate scanned stock numbers from non-scanned stock numbers.
Complete System:

The system comes as an integrated package with scanner, cradle and bar code printer. The scanner is pre-programmed with software and updates are sent electronically.
